Inspired by History and Literature
Now living in Brimfield, Melinda grew up in central Massachusetts surrounded by beautiful flower gardens cultivated by her mother, who is also an artist. Melinda utilizes a unique use of color and natural design to create charming and evocative images rooted in local history and literature. Her paintings often include descriptive captions or quotes from literature. Often, Melinda paints subjects on Old New England Barn Board and Antique Architectural Pieces found at the Brimfield Antique Shows.
Melinda has gained grassroots popularity by toting her paintings to art shows and local open-air markets, where her work has caught on and is now sold in retail outlets throughout the East Coast.
